Closed loop servo control applications

Mathematical analysis of system including any mechanical components. Design and compensation of control circuits to optimize response and prevent oscillation.

Power electronics design

Design of power control circuits for electromechanical device control using AC, DC, and stepper motors and solenoids. Switch mode power supply design. Analysis of power requirements.

Digital and Microprocessor applications

General purpose digital electronics and microprocessor support circuit design. PAL/GAL and FPGA (Xilinx) programming. Communication interface design.

Low noise amplifier design

Amplification and filtering of low level signals (e.g. strain gage) to be read by A/D. Low noise analog circuits for low voltage signal generation and conditioning.

Schematic capture and PCB layout

Schematic capture using PADS PowerLogic. Thru-hole and SMT PCB design using PADS PowerPCB.
